Golden Hours: When to Actually Post on Social Media

Across studies (Sprout Social publishes a great annual roundup of best times to post), the consistent winners are weekday mid-mornings, roughly Tuesday through Thursday between 9 AM and noon, when people take coffee breaks and pre-lunch scrolls. A few quick patterns we see across client accounts:

Instagram: weekday mid-mornings and lunch hours perform reliably. Reels get an extra bump in the evening.

Facebook: early-to-mid mornings on weekdays, when people check their feeds before the day gets loud.

LinkedIn: Tuesday to Thursday, business hours. It’s a work-brain platform; weekend posts sink.

TikTok: more forgiving of evenings and weekends, but consistency matters more than any single slot.

Your audience beats the averages

Here’s the part most people skip: the averages are a starting point, not gospel. A bakery’s audience scrolls at different times than a B2B consultant’s.
